However, I’ll try to explain how the revenue sharing formula works at Udemy.
When you publish your course on udemy, that can be joined by anyone either via Udemy organic traffic or Udemy advertising campaign or Affiliate program offered by Udemy or people driven by you.
Revenue Sharing works in 4 parts:
#1 - When you share the link of your course with someone in your circle, you get 100% of the revenue for that sale. For this, you always need to create a coupon & send that to your friend,visitor or anyone you want him/her to join your course.
#2 - When someone finds your course on Udemy.com, and joins it instantly, you get 50% revenue & 50% is taken by Udemy.com.
#3 - When Udemy brings someone to your course using their running advertising compaign, in that case you get 25% and the 75% is kept by Udemy.com because they spent money to bring visitors to your course.
#4- When an Affiliate Marketer promotes your course and brought a sale, in that case you get 25%, Udemy gets 25% and the 50% is taken by the affiliate marketer who brought the person to buy/join your course.
Alright, so this is the normal formula which works for revenue sharing program on Udemy.com for instructors, however, the more students you get, the more will be your revenue. And many teachers out there on udemy earn thousands of dollars with single course. And the same can be done by you.
